I skipped past this one earlier (so many photos to catch up on!) - but that was doing it a disservice. This photo deserves to be looked at full-size in my opinion, I love the setting, the composition and the way the palm trees police the space..
The West Coast of the South Island, which is where these palms are, experiences very rough and wild weather at times so these palms are wind torn and tattered and have had to dig deep to stay there where nothing else grows.
What funny looking fringey bottoms they have. How cute are those.

The sea does look inviting, but not the most attractive type of palm tree.
