Foggy Day in San Francisco

  1. Oh what a lovely little spot for a glimpse of the bridge.

  2. Gorgeous. Which side of the bridge is this Sausilito or SF? I once spent a summer in SF and loved it.

  3. San Francisco side--down by the Marina on the path toward the Bridge. I lived in San Francisco for years when I first came to California on the last day of 1964. Cloverdale is about two hours north, a small town (8500 or so) in the wine country on the Russian River where the mountains begin. Here, I was walking with several poets before a reading. Cali is closing 70 state parks, permanently, most in N. Cali, many of them coastal, and places like Jack London's home. We did a book celebrating the parks which, unexpectedly, has politicized us all--we've done three readings and have more lined up early next year. Many people don't know about the closing. They're buying books, writing letters, joining in the movement to save the park lands, where "development" will follow closure.

  4. Oh no....... That makes me sad, Gail. I love the parks, the freedom to access their beauties and to just BE. How sad that's being compromised for the folks in California. I had no clue.....
