Reminds me of the Dahlia in "Through the Looking Glass" when the flowers tell Alice she has hair like dahlias which are getting a bit past it (or words to that effect) !!

Not seen dahlias like that over here, they are beautiful. And to know your a poet too. A woman of many talents.
