Hint - if that's your own feeder, take all but one of the 'flowers' off it... then you have a single spot you can pre-focus on. Borrowing a friends finger to simulate the position of the bird would work great. Having the focus locked, and the camera on a tripod, all you need to do then is wait with your finger on the shutter. If you have a remote-control, even better... no shake.
Wow.....now see I thought about tricking the little boogers onto the one flower, but where's the fun in that?! LOL I LIKE sitting in the garden, talking at 'em and looking a bit nutz to the neighbors. *laughing*
Tripod? Oh, you mean that little thingy that sits in the bottom of my bag and collects dust? ;-)
That is a fantastic capture. I know how difficult to take photos of humming birds are, I tried for my entire hols!
