Prior Park Lake

Prior Park, Bath

  1. Living quite close to the coast, this 'Thursday Theme' was quite a tricky one - there are no natural lakes nearby.

There are, however, a few man-made lakes... including this one in Prior Park, Bath; the former home of Ralph Allen.

  4. Interesting photo even more so as I am originally from Bath. I won't tell you how many years ago that is!! I have not been there though. I have just discovered that the bridge is one of only four Palladian bridges of this design in the world which can be crossed at Prior Park, and was created in the 18th century. Diane

  6. Diane, if you ever re-visit the area let me know - I'll take you and your camera to Prior Park so you can meet the smart fish as well as photograph the bridge.

  7. The bridge is very cool. And the view from the hillside--very peaceful all tucked away from the busy-ness of the city.
