The railway to my town was got rid of back in the 60s. Today a steam train company that has salvaged some of the track for a tourist attraction in the last ten years is expanding. Their aim is to run steam trains from Stoke on Trent to Alton Towers. And then maybe one day back to my town. My 12 mile walk on Wednesday took in the old line.
That's *exactly* the picture I'd have taken there, or at least attempted to. I have a coupl;e of friends in Leek who'd likely love a train to Stoke from someplace nearby... and if it's a steam one so much the better. :-)

ReplyDeleteLove the randomness of the pile and the textures.

Okay....way cool! Seriously cool! Look at the building in the back and the bit of track with the STOP sign... Oh, how can you not love railroads?! :-)
