  3. Richard, you have to tell me the model of your camera. The picture is fantastically bright and clear.Am buying a DSLR,but not sure what to buy.

  4. If we didn't have the two parrots we live with, this breed would be one we would consider having. Sweet dispositions and oh so pretty!

    So, what kind of camera do you work with? Favorite lens?

  5. Rosie, Kim, it's a Canon EOS20D, which is a few years old now but it's descendants are still very popular.

    The lens I used for that shot was a Canon 18-55 image stabilised one, with a skylight filter on the end for protection. It's a good - and cheap - lens if you watch out for light from the side as it's a bit prone to internal reflections otherwise.

    I was also using an 80-200 Canon lens on the day.

    An old Vivitar 28mm/2.8 manual lens on an adaptor always lives in my bag - it's my favourite for 'street' photography... equivalent to about 45mm with the crop-factor taken into account. It's tough enough to be jostled and occasionally kicked or punched if it's in the middle of something 'interesting'. :-)
