Gosh, Maureen I keep thinking of something "beautiful and functional" for this thursday... and I am not finding it...

  5. Hi Jorge-I honestly think that most functional items 'are' beautiful to me......cups/glasses/pots/chairs/taps/tools/vases/trolleys etc. hope this helps!

  7. Yes they are beautiful, I am just not used to photograph them... or I'm not having the patience.

  8. Hi Jorge. Good! Expanding the way we normally see makes us re-see what we normally overlook. Does that make sense to you? We don't see the form of a coffee cup as significantly beautiful, but the potter who made the piece calls it art.
Fill that cup with coffee and let it steam into your photo, grab a camera, and look at it. It is a beautiful thing.
Scattered around us are lots of beautiful overlooked fully functional stuff that make our lives seem to work easier. To the designer they were far more than just a tool, or just a thing.
Rise to the challenge! Show us your vision. Show us your culture.

  9. BTW Seeing the photo with the brick used as a holder rather than a spacer, is just wonderful use of what is around us. How very creative, and it is captured nicely. Thanks for sharing the shot!
