That was precisely my inspiration, the cycle of things. It seems that someone had tried to tidy up, picked up fallen branches and left them on the bench (not me...!); and no, I just left the place and said "I'll come back to it later".
What a superb bench! I like the way it looks as though it's returning to its roots...
