I like the geometry and how you control my "eye travel" in this image, Gail. You have used the area well. My eyes enjoy staying inside your photo's space. I don't feel crowded or cut off. I like the colors being muted and yet pronounced because of the shapes. It sort of jumps out to greet the viewer. Good one!
Thanks Gail. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings with my thoughts about their art. You are far more familiar with my work because you get my daily "photo of the day" mailings. I knew that you would understand what I was saying about your fine picture.
Lovely spiky cactus and the gentle iris, what a contrast. Lovely
ReplyDeletePerfect capture-so well spotted. Love the shapes!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely form this has, Nature has some wonderful patterns.
ReplyDeleteLovely plants considering it is an abandoned garden. :(
ReplyDeleteAbandoned but beautiful. Diane
ReplyDeleteExtremely cool. I like the contrast. And I especially like the frilly flower peeking out there with a bit of trepidation.

ReplyDeleteThanks, all, for your comments. Kim, your in-depth critique is always delightful--and helpful as a guide to "next time."
