    BTW Gail,I live just ouside the Peak Park, one of the places of outstanding beauty in England in the Staffordshire Moorlands, which surround the town I live in. So even out of my windows I'm surrounded by hills. And I walk endlessly with my camera.

  2. That's the California poppy, our state flower! It grows wild throughout the state. Thanks for the "BTW." My little town is set in a valley with high hills, but populated. In the mountains behind it, 18 steam power plants COULD provide power 4 or 5 times their current output but are hindered by the government. Much natural beauty survives. Your home sounds extremely well placed. I see why you started this website! Gail
