That's one of those pictures I wish I'd taken... There's something so photogenic about decay and dereliction... maybe we could have it as a theme one Thursday? (hint)
I like it, too. I wonder what it would look like in sepia or B&W.
Oh. Poor little rain barrel. Ah, but what a purpose filled life it's had. Even now with a place for moss to gather and rust to live.Way cool photo, ME.
You'd lose all the colour shades and texture differences in sepia or B&W.
It's a nice composition. I like Richards's idea. Words as "decayed" are key, not to confuse with the more mainstream photos of old and beatiful buildings.
Poets would call this a "found poem."
