Someone who darkens the back ground... Hmmm. I could take exception to that description. Grin. The picture was made with a piece of black fabric positioned about 4 feet behind the flowers, which were held in place by a vase I didn't include in my photo. The flash wasn't positioned to fall onto the background. The side and bottom lighting for content separation came from bounce cards reflecting a bit of the flash back onto the flowers. As a photographer I know that my imagery can make people think. There are so many wars going on on the planet right now. It seems everyone everywhere has an issue with someone and considers it is important enough to die over. I don't like that. That is where the title of today's picture came from. "Gentlemen. Go to your corners."
Kim@ Thanks so much for the description of how you got this truly beautiful shot. My apologies for assuming that you had edited the photo which I know is an option people do use. :)
Someone else who darkens the background. I guess I had better learn how to do this as it makes the photo stunning.

ReplyDeleteAnd the above is just one of them.
I rather like the lady telling the gents to get over themselves. ;-)
