A place to see my world
I love all the shades of blue, gorgeous colours in this photos and what a peaceful scene.
Welcome and what a fantastic first photograph.... Beautiful indeed! BTW I've changed the format of your label and taken out the commas
Marilyn, Thank you. It was a very cold day up on the Blue Ridge Parkway and a break in the winter weather allowed me to procure the shot. The wind was so fierce, though, I had to lean against the car to steady myself. It was icy cold. There's nothing like a wind off of the mountains to jar, shake, huff and to puff. Taken at about 3750.
Fire Byrd,Thank you! I could have sworn I had the order right but when it posted I was like..."What?!" :)The photo is one of a series of shot taken up on the Blue Ridge Parkway in the winter (last week.) The Parkway closes on and off because they do not maintain the roads, so ice and snow prevent getting allot of winter shots; its very high up, no rails and slippery. The colors are wintry subtle and I was lucky to get up there and get the shot.Yours, louvregirl
Laura~DancesWithTeddyBears,First off, I love your name and wager that you do have a Teddy Bear collection that would knock my socks off! Yes- the quiet solitude of these mountains is compellingly beautiful. The people (mountain folk) are quiet too. There is allot of beauty here.
Oh and Fire Byrd,Got it...no commas!:)
Ohhhhhhhh....what an awesome photo. LOVE it!Welcome to BW, ma'am.I hope you enjoy yourself here as much as I do!
