My husband refers to these as an Autumn daffodil while I have called it an Autumn Crocus. Maybe someone here knows which they are?
They are Sternbergia lutea. Common name autumn crocus. I love them and must get some bulbs next year. Diane

Diane - I just looked up Sternbergia Lutea in our Garden plant book and it seems we are both sort of right after all, as it refers to it as crocus like then calls it the autumn daffodil.
They're adorable--a spring look in autumn!
