On the road between Queenstown & Cromwell

A tiny wee cottage all alone in the scraggy wild thyme covered hills of Central Otago - what is it's history, who lived here and why I wonder.

  3. Probably an office methinks. Is there a quarry nearby?

  4. No Innocent, there is nothing nearby - a huge area of nothing-ness. I think it may be a hut from old gold mining days. The gold miners used to live in very isolated areas with primitive conditions, in winter this area would be nothing but snow.

  6. LOL at Carol's comment.

I love abandoned old buildings and the stories they have to tell.
I've been known to trespass to investigate.....with camera in hand, of course. It's a great alibi when I get caught. LOL
