My theme this week is going to be blooms that are currently flowering in our garden.  This Canna Lily bloomed just this morning.

    I love canna's, they used to grow like weeds in the garden when I lived in Zimbabwe. Have not tried growing them here. Diane

    This looks kind of like an Iris. Does that mean that Irises are lilies? Or lilies are Irises? Gorgeous photo.

    IRIS is a flowering plant that has been commonly confused with the lily. ... Instead of being related to the lily, the iris is a member of a quite different family.

    Checking with google it seems they are definitely different families.
