What wonderful light in this photo.Buddha looks so sad though, as if has many of the world's problems on his shoulders.

You really have managed to capture a kind of serenity, I think, rather than sorrow. If you look closely, perhaps it is a gentle smile of compassion? The light is abssolutely magical.
Carol ,you caught the sun just right in this photo , great shooting . I love the Budda's of Thailand and Kanchanaburi does have it's share.

I love this shot - it's like you've found the best angle to highlight his serenity. It makes me feel serene looking at it.
